Kisses - I Want Some

Did someone say KISSES??? I want some too !!! Mishka and Maggie on the left are first to come to the inside gate after they saw me giving the llama girls kisses and snugs. Mishka especially is always wanting to be glued to me in any way she can. Maggie has decided lately that she remembers all the attention this time of year brings with the birthing season. So just because they will not be delivering babies does not mean I should fall down on the job with my attention practices. Murtel on the right is Maggie's baby and has always loved face rubs and gentle kisses close to her eyes. Goats when showing love and comfort to each other will lick another goats eyelashes - Trust me I love my Goats but I will not do that..

Monica, who is not one for much affection from humans does show such compassion for her baby Babette and she even likes the Llama Babies. Doesn't she look like she is smiling?? She may be shy but she always seems to be happy... Look at those tiny fine lockets - such a treasure. She is another one who makes no noise wish I could say that about Mishka - she is a motor mouth the moment she sees me to the moment she can not. That is a bottle kid for ya..

Kisses

Sister Kiss Me!! After having a full hour outside running as fast as they could the little girls Mari and Dottie went back into their side of the barn for a bunch of hugs from me and a couple of lip touches from each other. Llama's will touch so softly their lips together then pull their heads back a bit and give a gentle blow. Dottie does that already with me but Mari is still a tad shy...

I so enjoy every minute with these two because they are pure joy, absolute energy and above all kindness. They are still trying to figure out what the world is about and you can see their brains turning over and over as they look at things. What I also like about them is the quite. They do not make much in the way of sounds but a tiny hum now and then. That is not what is going on in the goat side of the barn. I swear they are never quite. Today I had music in my head phones and so this really got their attention. They kept coming up to my ear and listening then darting off. I guess I should have turned it down but today this tired gal needed Michael Jackson full force to convince the body to get outside and get through the snow.

So KISSES from Larkspur Funny Farm and the two new girls.

Heather Field in ArtFire Store

I have begun the work of building up my ArtFire Store. I have been remiss about giving that shop the goodies that are well known in my Etsy Shop. So today I have started adding some Dreamy Fiber Batts.

This offering is called "Heather Field" which contains a bold purple that I dyed on sweet "LFF Gambler" Alpaca boy which is a soft natural camel color so this purple really enriched the look of the fiber. Then I took some merino roving and spaced dyed it six shades of violets and lavenders. Last was some incredible kettle dyed Wensleydale lockets in reds, purples and blues. When I gathered all the fiber together on the prep table I really took my time - Yes, with Llama Boy watching to make sure I got it right - and slowly added each fiber in rounds so they will seamlessly be a smooth even batt. This will give the new owner so many possibilities to create with this offering. You will feel the soft, loving fiber that each one of these animals produced and you can wear it next to the most delicate skin.

Please take a visit to my ArtFire shop if you can - www.larkspurfunnyfarm.artfire.com

We promise some goodies and I do have a book sale going on right now - 30% OFF

Thank you!

Jade and Pearls

This is a classic look - Jade and Pearls is 100% Alpaca and is soooooo soft. It is however hard to get a great picture of this batt but trust me it is like a fine piece of jade and a strand of fresh water pearls - just the best.

The last two pictures are out of the light box - a bit hard to see because the it turned a slight gray but it is pure white and jade green. I wanted you to see how well it drapes.

Cinna Buns My Way

A tasty treat for those of who love, live and dream fibers... This offering will not add to your waist line nor will it give you sticky fingers. PURE Heaven in fiber form.

You know you deserve it...

Testify

This is just one of the many batts that I created while having the watchful eyes of Llama Boy glued to my every move.

This offering is called "Testify" and I made two of them. Now posted in my Etsy store www.larkspurfunnyfarm.etsy.com It contains LFF Alpaca from Silver hawk, Mohair from LFF Sugar and a very soft Colorado Raised Merino Lambs Wool. I love the soft and bouncy feel of this batt..

Now I am not giving any credit to Llama Boy for this batt - he kept telling me to add Llama - not this time..
