Lovable Llama Seeks Home

I have two lovable Llama felt creations who are looking for loving homes. They are up for sale in my Etsy shop and hope to travel to their new owners homes very soon - fill that desire to care for and love on a Llama.

WOW INTERESTING

What a STRANGE morning!! To the West of me outside my office window is the moon shining so full and bright at 7 am. I go downstairs to the kitchen and this is what the sun and clouds are giving me as they rose above the horizon to the East... WOW and what is that cloud doing. Just thought I would share - what did you see out your window this day?

Bombshell Babbette

I took a 1/2 ounce of the sweet baby Babbette lockets and combed out the tiny VM (Vegetable Matter) in it and went to work on showing what this lovely girl had in her... With an amazing over the top dark pink I placed the unwashed fibers into the glass container with my special handmade fiber soap, dye, vinegar and almost boiling water. A quick stir and it was outside to do chores. When I came back in and the water looked cloudy and had cooled to more of a room temp I was ready to take the fiber out. With a plastic spoon I gently scooped out the fiber without disturbing the particles and dirt that had settled. One quick rise with same water temp and it is off to the drying rack . I just love the color and it is still so buttery soft - can't wait to see it dry... I have more of her fleece to work with but I thought I would do a test run. Yes, I am like a little kid with a new toy I have to touch it, play with it and if I was honest I would slept with it.

What do you think should be made out of it??

I can't help myself - compulsive organizer !

When life gets me too worried or I can not settle my brain I am a compulsive organizer or cleaner. I have struggled not to be so "Over the Top" on doing this but sometimes I just have to let myself go because it also helps me work out a problem.

So this afternoon when I got home from evaluating a flock of sheep and my inner chatter would not shout up I went into "Monk" Mode. It was the buttons turn in the shop to get on my good side. So I took a large type set drawer and went to work putting them in order by price, materials and also began the start of inventory and picture taking. WHO LOVES BUTTONS?

From Left to Right Arctic Reindeer and handmade polymer Black Faced Sheep

Clint Eastwood in "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly -- Antique Turtle Shell

Porcelain Rooster -- Porcelain Heart

These are just a few of the many dozens I have - I also have glass, bone, horn, sterling silver, shell, fabric and much, much more... Now not only can folks get to the buttons easier but I got to have an "MONK" Mode with great results... What do you think of the Clint Eastwood Buttons??

Got those at an antique show years ago and up till today I was not going to sell them but working on destashing around here.

Baby Babbette

I only went to carry some hay into the barn and water to the far pastures - Honest. I did not have much energy and the work was draining what little I had but I pressed on. When I reached the goat girls barn I was almost on empty and just then Babbette and Agatha follwed me into the barn to get out of the sun. The sun was reaching almost 50 degrees and I was debating if I risked taking off my jacket. As I noticed these two girls in the barn without a thought I closed the door behind us and walked to the catch pen. Silly girls - they followed me in which was so lucky for me because I had not been able to touch these little girls for some time. They are way too fast for this gal to chase all around but in the pen I sat down and let them calm down and the touching began.

Agatha is a wild child and full of energy - it was like touch a bucking bronc but soon she did not mind and we made sort of friends. Then there was Babbette - she is the off spring of Monica and was the baby that I thought I was never going to get out of her mother last February. She is a true offspring of that line of goats. Fast as the wind, not very big but OH What Fiber. I always carry scissors in my pocket so while I was sitting with her I thought - just a locket or two, no harm no fowl. It was a quick snip and I had her lovely locket in my tired hands. It is like a tonic to me - the moment I moved that silky lock between my thumb and index finger it was like a spirit took over. Before either one of us knew what was happening I had her in my lap and I was clipping away. Like I said I had not planned on this - I did not even have a bag with me so I was stuffing the lockets in my pockets as I sat and soon I found myself stuffing the fiber in my turtle nick shirt. Now I know I do not teach folks this but it works in a pinch. As I took my time and relaxed into the process so did she. She even fell asleep several times - that is trust from someone I had not gotten my hands on for about 5 months. With each clip I also scratched the spot to show her now she can reach her body when she scratches. The average locket will be around 6 inches and so buttery soft. I left about 1 1/2 of length on her body to carry her thru the cold to come.

When the clipping was done and we had body rubs all over she and I got up, left the pen, opened the door and stepped out. There we both were greeted by the goat girls - sniffing her and me all over and Mommy Monica checked over every inch of her Babbette... She ran around, jumping and bouncing because she was free of that heavy coat. I on the other hand eeked to the house for the spell was broken and my body was telling me so. Once in the house I pulled out the lockets from under my shirt - I am sure that was some sight.

So today I hope to grade, clean and maybe wash those amazing buttery soft lockets.

Amazing what I can do when I touch fiber... I did not even feel this cold bug in my body - I had a higher purpose...

I Am Not My Current Conditions

All conditions are temporary. They are episodic pauses on the adventure of your soul. Judging the value of your life from the conditions that are cu rent in it today is never a wise thing to do, because all conditions are temporary.

The affirmation for today is "I am not the conditions of my life, I am the creator of those conditions, so I have the power to make new ones." I will be repeating this through out the day and taking this to the core of my being. I will see the changes in my life unfold just as I did with this sun rise this morning.

Be The Pine Cone

I thought I would put my mind in a healing state so I walked down to the mail box - a long walk but one that always gives me joy. Still struggling with this stomach issue I got half way down a prayed I could make it. I was watching the sun set and it filled my soul with such peace.

As I walked I felt there were eye on me. As I turned my head there was the "Orphaned Doe" trying to see if she could steal some of Sophie's dog food that was just pour in her bowl. I had to giggle because Sophie will share a bit with her which is so strange because Sophie is one who is all about herself first.. Remind you of anyone?? She is a wonderful spirit - works hard and understands her purpose here but she has never been one to put herself out there much - over the past two years that really has changed and I that she realizes how much I do depend on her and in turn she is willing to give 110% of herself. See we all can change.

As I reached the mailbox - and found nothing inside I could have been cross for WASTING what little energy I had but then I saw this amazing, perfect single cone as I headed back to the house. It had made it through all that horrible wind that hit the farm not too long ago and managed to hang on while maintaining it's perfection. WHAT A LESSON!!

"Hang on no matter what hits you - you have a higher purpose that needs you to be right in the middle of the storm"

I clung to this imagine as my body during the night revolted against the germs inside. Not a pretty sight and I am glad I live alone - hate to subject anyone to this but as the sun rose this morning I can see I am still hanging on. Not a 100% by any stretch but stand and breathing and giving thanks for that!! I strive to be the Pine Cone...
