Gratitude Journal Giveaway July 13th - 20th
This giveaway is one that I hope will touch all of us... I know that life can sometimes just grind us into the dirt and we feel like nothing will be right again. I have had my share of those days, weeks, months and yes, even years but thru it all I have always tried to find at least one thing to be grateful for - trust me sometimes I have had to search very hard and long to do that task. The truth is we all go thru rough times but it is how we handle those rough times that mark who we are and who we will be....
So in that spirit I have created a Gratitude Journal to help you write down those large and small things that we can be ever so grateful for even in the worst of times. This journal has 160 ruled recycled paper pages so no trees where hurt in the making of this book. I have adorned the cover page with all repurposed items, velvet leaves, antique buttons, wild quail feathers, antique curtain trim along with some sweet little metal add on's. The pictures just do not do it justice but I never claim to be a good photographer - so trust me when I say you will really like this journal...
******** So here is the giveaway - I need you to write in the comment section of this posting one of the items that you are truely grateful for!! Something that you would write down in this journal. The giveaway will run from JULY 13th thru JULY 20th at midnight. So tell all your family, friends and co-workers because I have found when you share your good news the universe gives you ten fold. ********
As for me - I am thankful for all of you - you make my dark days bright - you give me a way to share my life all over the world. I love hearing about your lives, adventures, woes and stories of past generations. I AM THANKFUL FOR YOU!

Well...these are lean times, aren't they, Grace? Still, I find that there is such simple pleasure in the things I have long taken for granted..I am grateful for our tiny little cottage with leaky windows and a fire that smokes, and my husband who does the dishes and sweeps the floor. For my 16 month old daughter, Violet, who inspires me to be better, to do better. Our dogs, who becomes the "court jesters" when I've had a really long day...and finally, that we are together. That, despite little money, our lucky little family is intact and we are surrounded by friends, family and the simple beauty that one finds when they stop looking for it in all the wrong places...
Thank you for hosting such a sweeet giveaway Grace :) I am thankful for SO MUCH! This morning for hearing the Meadowlarks singing, they always bring a smile to my face :)

I am SO grateful for my brother. When I visited him in Thailand this past June he told me so many things that happened to him when he was a boy of about 7 and upwards. SO sad it all was, but he grew up to become the wonderful kind man he is now. He is my ONLY relative in the whole world now and I am SO proud of him and how he outgrew the atrocious things that happened to him then.

The time is nearing for my Grandpa (92 years old) to meet his maker. I am thankful that he 's the father figure in my life. Through Grandpa, I learned to fish, to love, to laugh, to work, to help, to make things, to enjoy, to look, to hug, to walk, to ride, to clean fish, to smile, to pet, to cook fish, to ice skate, to stay warn, to eat fish.... it will sooooo hard to say good bye when the time comes.
I am most grateful for my five year old daughter. I get the gift of love and joy everyday. One smile from that sweet face makes for a beautiful world. Thank God for his wonderful gifts.
One of the things that I am grateful for is YOU! You have been an incredible and patient fiber mentor for 2 years now and on top of that you have become one of my truly dearest friends I will ever have! I cherish your friendship!
Hugs,Monica
ever grateful for my kids.. they teach me to stop and smell the flowers..speaking of which..your journal cover art is gorgeous!
thanks for always sharing the ups and downs...enjoy your day Grace!
Three things for me, but they are one heading... My three best friends. They have been there for me through everything... I'll not say I've had a terrible life... but I've been brought up in some rather mistaken ideas. They've helped bring me out of that, to a way that makes me happier.. healthier. I know that while I could stand on my own and live without them if I absolutely had to... I absolutely would not want to.
I am thankful that I know that The Lord is with me now and forever. I
I am thankful that my kids, although they are crazy and insane, keep me laughing every single day. And I'm so thankful that my sweet husband supports me in being home with them. What a fantastic wonderful life!
Thanks for a chance at the opportunity to win such a beautiful journal!
When I first read this, I thought, "Oh this is going to be so easy!" We are finally able to move into our new house, and I am ever so grateful for that, but as I was typing that the thought came to mind, that that isn't what I'm truly grateful for. A new home is great and all, don't get me wrong. It's been a long wait and I am ecstatic, but when I really thought about it, I'd have to say what I am really grateful for is all that time that we weren't able to move into our house. If we hadn't had to wait, I wouldn't be able to appreciate hand picked dandelions that need a special place in a mason jar of water because they "picked them just for you Mommy" instead of them being long stemmed roses. I can appreciate now furniture and bedroom sets that don't all match and have a hundred pieces and frills because it's a lot warmer with little ones and their dirty feet who want to snuggle. Had you asked me 8 years ago or even four years ago,I could have told you exactly what I had that I am grateful for. Now though, I can take you exactly what it is that has been missing that makes me so grateful!!
Hugs

I am grateful for finding MJF and all these wonderful ladies I'm meeting. What a wonderful community. I'm also grateful for the beauty God has provided in nature. Everyday I find something incredible that He has made! I love your journals...would love to win one. Also, your yarn is divine. Makes me excited for winter! (a bit!)
I am truely grateful for the 34 yrs I had with my late hubby, it will be 3 yrs, this yr that he has been gone, but he left this world, leaving me with 4 wonderful children and 3 super G/sons, and memories that will last 10 times my lifetime. I have been journeling for most of my life, and when I to pass, my children and their children will have all of my thoughts and memories to read.Thank you for this opportunity to express myself. I am grateful for the health of my family, the loyalty of friends, and the simple things like waking up to the cat cuddled up next to me with a purrr so loud he could wake the neighbors! Thanks for the give a way, it's good to think about being grateful - it makes us all slow down and appreciate what we have instead of worrying about what we don't have.
I am grateful and honored to be so close to both of my parents both in geography (2.5 miles away) and in relations. As I grow older I get to share my life with them and get to know them not only as my parents but for the wonderful people they truly are. Their insights and advice have always guided me and their love is a strength beyond measure. I am grateful to have that opportunity each and every day.
I am grateful for knowing Jesus.

I am grateful that I come to a job each day that I love and feel like it's my calling from God to do.
"Family" is, of course, the first thing that comes to mind. My supportive husband, and our five amazing children who teach us life lessons on a daily basis!
I am grateful for my babies: Sarah, my little clumsy 4-yr-old with the most adorable/frustrating tendrils of blonde ringlets. My 5-yr-old big-boy Caleb, who loves nothing more in this world than to be helpful to others and make others simle, which of course makes me smile through my tears! And my oldest Abby, 5-yrs-old also, but only the oldest by 8 minutes! She is an Old Soul and has her great-grandmother's spirit of drive and determination.
In addition to them, I am also grateful for Casey, my 13-yr-old stepson, who is the resident family clown. Finally there is Britton, my 15-yr-old stepson, who suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I won't lie and say that I am always gushing with gratitude about the daily challenges we all face while living with his disease. But through everything, God has seen us through, provided rays of sunshine on the darkest days, and reminded me that in ALL things, I can be thankful!
I am grateful for my faith and family. They never fail to get me through all the difficulties and worries of each day.
