Two Peas in a Pod

As you can see Llama Boy is not in a barn!!! These pictures are of Wednesday at noon and we have not settled this issue.

He is again watching me while I work this afternoon from no where near a barn. Now I must admit if we thought Llama Boy can be hard headed you don't know me.... Ask my sons.

Yes, I checked on him several times but no I did not run all over through the drifts trying to catch someone who is clearly not going to work with me on this. This morning during chores I again offered him the smaller barn and again he was not having any of it so I allow you to be stupid. I understand his desire to protect his Llama family but there is no way he can be in the barn for many issues. The smaller barn is a wonderful dry, warm place where he could be snug and out of the elements but like with all of us sometimes our need to do something else takes over all common sense.

I understand that pure will and determination can see us through things that most would never attempt. I get it that sometimes we put the welfare of others before our own and do not even consider the harm it might do to ourselves. I get all that so I guess you can say Llama Boy and I are two peas in a pod...

Llamas do better in the cold than in the heat, since I had South African Sheep and Goats I thought llamas would get along here in California central valley heat .... Since they are from South America ... But llamas are from the high up in the Andes where there it is cold and it snows. He just likes peeking thru the window to see what you are doing.

I don't know Jane I can be one hard headed gal but that is because I raised boys on my own and now am surrounded by boys - you have to think like them to out smart them - but I am sure you know what I mean.

Tombstone your right about Llama's doing much better in the cold then the heat. My problem is we have not had a typical winter here before this last storm the temps were in the 60's so the animals have not had time to get their bodies regulated. Also, like us if he is worrying and fretting the body gets open to issues and since the birth of these little ones he is one big WORRY Wart. Heck now you know why we are two worry warts in a pod...
